Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "Do one thing every day that frightens you." I've co-opted this to mean "Do one revision every day that frightens you," because revision is often the stuff of fear and loathing for this writer.
So I've signed up for Jolie Stekly's and Holly Cupala's fabulous challenge, The Summer Revision Smackdown! They've laid down the gauntlet on Jolie's blog.
You can report your trials, tribulations and triumphs at Holly's blog.
As they say, it's never too late to join. Come on in- the water's fine!

Good luck! Look forward to hearing about your progress.
Thanks so much, Ben. I look forward to hearing about your progress as well, and I will go and find "The Boy Who Went Ape" forthwith!
Enjoy the Smackdown!

Oh brother where art thou quote?
Love that movie, love Elmore (if that's his name).
Ben,
I'm a huge Coen brothers/ Oh Brother fan and could very well have been channeling that scene when I wrote it in this post. But in my head, I was hearing Eugene the turtle say it to his companion Emily pig in James Marshall's book "Yummers." I'm not even sure that quote is in that book, but details like that wouldn't stop me from hearing it just so.
